Lars,

I can buy 256MB of RAM at the corner computer store for $89 dollars. Windows XP runs just fine with 256MB of RAM. Only power users who are running many applications at once would notice a small delay due to paging and it isn't much of a problem. If you are a power user that expects an instantaneous response then by all means spend $90 and upgrade your system RAM to 512MB.
