I do not mean to demean Fundamentalists, just to register my own position. My theological liberalism presupposes that He has not been wholly silent throughout all regions but Judea and the Mediterranean basin, although it is likely enough that the Bible reflects greater interaction historically. Also, as I said, I tend to think that God's interaction is not transmitted pristinely by the Book, and I am not sure where I land on the question of the Christ. By the way, didn't Shaeffer end up in the Eastern Orthodox communion? I will take a look at the links and report back, as leisure permits, thanks.....
