Tim Wilkins' comments on the ScienceMark Page ( w3.physics.uiuc.edu ) and his postings to both JC's (John Cholewa) and Ace's hardware BBS's are complete proof that Vtune is buggy and error ridden.

Dear Pete,

I find it believable that Intel's compiler has bugs and is difficult to work with, however this is not what you claimed. You said it wouldn't compile any application other than SPEC. Where is your proof that all applications fail to compile? While you have shown that there are some applications that may not compile under Intel's compiler, this is a far cry from demonstrating that all applications fail to compile. Therefore your claim was absurd on the face of it and a man of your background should know better.
