America is such a great country. You have to be on guard at all times against people who would turn it into another Canada with socialized medicine that does not heal, roads that are not repaired, a welfare net that rewards the lazy, a culture that rewards the awful tripe written by Margaret Attwood. Cloak yourself in the constitution and tell the rest of the world to go to hell.

No fundamentalist group could ever take over the U.S. And can you imagine Americans bowing to an elitist group, bowing to Dame Jane Fonda let's say?

If you suffer the misfortune to get sick in Canada and you have the money you go to the Mayo Clinic. Medical students in Canada leave shortly after they graduate. The majority of the doctors that immigrate here have English as a second language. Imagine being in a hospital moments from death and trying to explain a complicated health history to someone who can't understand your language. It happens everyday. Who do you complain to when there are no standards?

What stands out most from Montana to New York is that the people are all much happier than people in Canada, Italy or Brazil. Of course not everyone is happy in the U.S. but over all in the U.S. people are much happier than those places I am familiar with. To live and die by your own choices is as good as it gets in life. Thank God or the founding fathers for escaping the tyranny of bitter kings and nobles.
