PCCW(0008-HK) investment provisions at US$627m

Pacific Century CyberWorks set aside US$667 million for provisions last year.

Of the total amount, US$627 million was to account for its investment portfolio (securities and associated companies) which declined in value. The remainder US$40 million was for other general items.

PCCW is also considering lowering CMGI's valuation.
