PCCW falls to low of $2.975, HSI opens 122 pts lower at 12,729

PCCW, reported a consolidated loss of $6.9 billion yesterday, was pushed down to a low of $2.975 per share at the market opening this morning. It later went back up to above $3.00 at $3.10.

Cheung Kong (Holdings) (0001-HK) and China Mobile (0941-HK) both fell more than 2 pct.

The Hang Seng Index opened down 122 pts, loss widened quickly to over 200 pts.
