Hey guys and gals,

Just went through a little exercise to calculate the
P/E of the DOW, and to my surprise, it's not that high
at 19.72. I calculated this P/E as sum(price)/sum
(earn/shr) from the numbers above. Note that the P/E
is a lot lower than the average P/E of 24.13. I got
these numbers from Yahoo:

finance.yahoo.com

I was honestly expecting the DOW P/E to be much higher.
I wonder how the typical bear market bottom DOW P/E
compares to 19.72? Might give a clue as to how low
we can go...

Regards,

George
