zbyslaw, that is the most positive news I've read in a long time. What this could tell us is that because of the slowing economy (and maybe all the hooplahs the analysts have created surrounding cap ex), carriers might have been holding back their spending. (I wonder if things would not have been this bad if all these analysts have not pushed these stocks down). This tells us that it is not that they are not spending, but they are just holding off spending. Other reasons might be that budgets for the year took longer to develop because of the uncertain environment. In addition Q1 is typically the weakest seasonal quarter for majority of companies following a usually strong seasonal Q4. So, the weakness we have witnessed might be in part due to seasonality.

Also, I'm hearing that other carriers like WCOM and Verizon re-affirming their cap ex. We should at least see stability at long last!
