When I think about all the hoopla about the cost of the 3G build-out, two things come to mind. The first is that ten years ago everyone said it would be too expensive to wire the USA with fiberoptic cable. The second thing is that remembering the old saw about how the companies selling picks and shovels to build the railroad made more money than the railroads, it's clear that things today have probably pretty much remained the same.
