I'll give you a clue. I'm not talking about theory. There are bad theories. There is bad science. What you are describing or might have seen is bad science. I really don't think you understand the requirements of a properly scaled process. It's is VERY easy to scale a process incorrectly and come up with the wrong conclusions.
