AMD is adjusting it's prices to Intel's

They have to maintain the price delta (err spread? or difference?) attractive. That's the way they do business : better bang for the buck. They're trying to shift the MHz sweet spot as far of the PIII as they can. They know that in some way, MHz sells and they only have to shift the volume up to maintain ASP. They should be able to increase the price of top end CPU with Palomino in Q3, but until then, all they can do is to shift the sweet spot.
