OT: Forget the markets, what about the environment? Much more important longterm than anyone's profits. Bush sold himself him to the polluters all right. Now we have the proof. Anything for a dirty buck for his Texas crew. More air pollution and arsenic in our water is what we get for not being smarter to see through the lies. Next, more water pollution, gutting endangered species act and increased de-forestation. The drilling in our last wilderness areas and dumping of poisons on the less-well-off as usual. Expect the rest of the world to give up environmental standards, ruin hundreds of pristine treasures and blame the "evil" US now. Little do they know 57% of us voted AGAINST this crew.

The rest of the world has suddenly lost respect for Bush with his refusal to abide by global warming treaty. He also wants to build Star Wars and the biggest satellite surveillance network ever so "they" can watch everything we do. Some "small government".

His tax plan is also ill-advised. Much too optimistic in its projections with the economy sputtering badly and no capital gains taxes. Big lie "its your money". He forgets it's also "our debt".

Tax breaks mainly for the very rich and increased deficits. Will gut SS and Medicare if he can. Won't help the markets at all. Every time Bush makes a speech the market tumbles 200 points. Will cause increased racial and class tension. The party of the rich polluters is in charge now. Christy Todd Whitman ought to do the right thing and speak out. McCain ought to take Bush on big-time. Maybe he will if he and his "ole boys" try to provide their gravy train of corporate soft money. The oil biz gave 33 million to Bush. Easy pickin's. But they owe big favors.

You supporters of Bush ought to be ashamed today. We who value the environment, democracy and a harmonious world are pissed off. Go ahead and criticize me or blame Clinton for sex, but sex never hurt every living thing on earth. And the world still always respected us because their leaders aren't saints either. Now they just fear us. Besides Bush has tons of skeletons in his personal closet. Just doesn't do it anymore. Who cares either way?

Stay tuned for the most cold and dismal four years in recent American history. Confidence in Bush level - next to zero and will only get worse. Every time he opens his mouth. It would be laughable except that he represents intrests which most people are against. And for good reasons.

Hope to God they pass solid campaign finance reform (against Bush and rightwing objection) so the oil companies and polluters won't be able to buy the election with a "pretty" smooth-talkin' rich kid again. We know who really runs things now behind the scenes and it ain't dim-wit Dubya. I feel like we just had a coup d'etat. Why? Because of the Florida thing and also because Bush lied throughout the election. He doesn't have a compassionate bone in his body for the earth he lives on. It's just all about quick money for his inner circle of supporters. And somehow he got a desperate party to follow him. McCain should have been the nominee. But dirty money and machinery ruled the day. Just wait for 2002 and see how the congress and senate gets replaced. Maybe that's why they're hurrying up and doing all their dirty work fast.

Nader blew it big-time. I warned those foolish Greens.
Believing propaganda is the real crime here. To think Bush was "compassionate" or Nader was doing the right thing.

And Cheney in charge of our energy policy is just tragically corrupt. 100% rightwing-big oil in charge. The fly fisherman who destroys wilderness, air and water. Who voted against freeing Nelson Mandela from prison, against school lunch, Headstart, banning cop-killer bullets, every environmental protection, is the king of the defence-mining-oil lobby, cashed in big right after leaving office and gives nothing to charity. What a great role model for us and our kids. Hope his heart does give out. He's just plain evil and doesn't even know it. Thinks he's a great guy.

These two will go down in history very poorly. Mark my words. Hopefully the damage they cause can be reversed in the next 6-8 years.
