comments from ALA: 13h01 CLSE remains positive on ALCATEL The Council with the 29.03.01 (Courses of reference: 39,75 euros).
(Aof) - Cr*©dit Lyonnais (Paris: 18420.PA - topicality) Securities Europe (CLSE) reiterates its recommendation of
Purchase with an objective of course in six months of 55/60 euros on Alcatel, the shortly after the profit warning of
Nortel Networks. The engineering and design department indicates that it contacted the French company in order to
ask to him whether it planned to reduce its estimates. Alcatel divides the same opinion that Nortel on the lack of
visibility of the market which does not make it possible to envisage the market trends into 2001, specifies the analyst.
CLSE thus prefers to await the publication of the results of the first quarter, next 26 April, to adjust its precise details
division by division. No matter what it occurs this year on the markets, Alcatel is one of the companies which will
profit from a renewed interest, adds the engineering and design department. Alcatel seems to believe that the United
States is currently the only problem, the group remaining trustful on Europe and Asia, and promised that the results of
the first quarter would not disappoint, concludes the analyst. BPA 2001 (e): 1,57 euro BPA 2002 (e): 2,23 euros*é
