Question of the day for the thread, Jacob! For the forseeable future is Cisco cyclical or is it Growth? Compare it to intc/amat for example. This type of exercise might help some of us bulls decide if and when to make the big long term buy. Even if we come down on the cyclical side, stocks like amat make a strong case for a big recovery for cisco in advance of the next cycle and if it is indeed growth, the earnings and multiples(not the irrational ones) will return.
I am betting that whatever the nasdaq bottom turns out to be(above 1500 i believe) the rally that will follow will lead to an average double in big cap tech stocks--from those levels. My job now becomes to get in with fresh money as close as possible to that bottom. At that point if i can get a 2 bagger on current holdings and fresh money as well from current levels, I will be happy again in one year. Morning ramblings of a former "BubbleBoy". Mike
