I'm listening to JNI's conference call right now, and apparently George Elling, analyst at Lehman Brothers, is full of it. In response to a direct question on the call, the CEO said that OEM sales last quarter were about 25% of their business. He also said that business (overall -- he declined to break that out OEM vs. channel for the current quarter) went back to approximately normal levels beginning the end of February.

He said he's "extremely confident" his Solaris business will continue to grow. Part of their problem may be that some of their products are still S-Bus based.

They apparently have also been constrained due to parts availability.

The CC is available at JNIC's home page. Listen to it. It's only about half an hour long.

Edit: Right near the end of the call, he characterized the 75% of their business that is channel-based -- he said about 95% of that is EMC related. Curious none of the "analysts" mention that. Maybe they didn't listen to the whole call.

JMHO, as always.
