uncrated the 27in Gateway CRT yesterday .... that is a huge heavy screen ... the UPS guy was nice enough to (with my help) get it to the living room but wouldn't help me take it upstairs and I don't blame him a bit as I can see I might have to hire a moving company .. this goes beyond me calling on neighbors and friends .... manifest says 171 lbs. I did get it up on a table I quickly built out of 2x6s just so I could try it out ... didn't make much of a hit with the head of the household tho, what with tbe 2x6s holding up this giant black monster with two extention cords, a phone line, and a cable line, chair from HER writing table, the CPU I hooked up was one under construction, so no sides and wires hanging everywhere .... you get the picture ... and all this RIGHT IN THE LIVING ROOM ...... actualy, the capitals don't convey properly the content of the message that I'm to have it OUT by this weekend ... but it is pretty nice and I might well order another when I get this one all set up and ginning ... I'm building the box that I'm going to run it with ... CDRW, DVD, Sound Blaster Live and Bose speakers ... can't wait to try out one of my opera DVDs ..... better get going as I've got lots to do and none of them have anything to do with the market ... how are your two patients ?
