Small Business Administration chooses ATM/Canterbury Corp.
MEDFORD, N.J., Mar 29, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Canterbury Information Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ - CITI) - announced today that the Small Business Administration had awarded ATM/Canterbury Corp., Canterbury's wholly owned subsidiary, a contract to purchase Master Trak Plus and modify it to use Sybase, the SBA's Client/Server Database. ATM/Canterbury had released the updated version for the SBA in February. Many of the SBA offices around the country are currently using Master Trak for managing their loan records using barcodes in their respective records centers. Master Trak enables operators to quickly search and find records which are needed by SBA personnel, instead of maintaining manual lists, which is less accurate and slow.
Alan T. McGaffin, President of ATM/Canterbury Corp., said, "The SBA approached ATM/Canterbury inquiring about the possibility of combining SBA's offices into a central national database. The SBA has been using Master Trak for tracking files and records for many years and with so many of their offices currently using Master Trak, it made sense for ATM/Canterbury to modify its latest product, Master Trak Plus, to access Sybase - which is the SBA's standard database. One of the main advantages was the standardized look and feel of Master Trak. Workers currently using Master Trak will be able to easily start using Master Trak Plus."
"As part of the agreement, the SBA also has the option to add ATM's latest Document Imaging Product, Easy Image. Easy Image is totally integrated with Master Trak for a single product capability. The SBA appreciates the prospect of scanning and viewing documents from their desk PC's and tracking physical folders that are stored or archived." === siliconinvestor.com |
