I liked that part to. ahhh, Maximus! We need more Maximus's!! Great movie...a little gory, but it was realistic goreiness I think.

Sometimes simple solutions are the best solution. Term Limits would do a lot to clean up politics in Washington D.C.

One of the main things I dislike about McCain/Fiengold is it empowers incumbents over challengers. And the last thing we need to do is give more power to incumbents. After all, how many of us can become known enough in a state the size of California or Texas, without significant amounts of television advertising?

Many people here have complained about the amount of political television advertisement. But think about this, is it more important to learn about the newest Bic Razor, or about who is running for elected office? We spend FAR more on television advertisement on things which have little importance. Why should we limit free speech for politics, but not for products?

In its root form, a candidate is a product. And we, as society, should have every avenue possible cleared for us to learn about that product.

One last question to ponder, can we really make the case today that people are over-informed about who is running for office, and what their position are related to issues?

I would argue, just the opposite is true. Most people are grossly under-informed.
