John,

Lots of people take the advice "cut your loss and let your profit run". And lots of people read the Business Week article and went ahead bought the stock without looking at the fundamentals of the company. As soon as the buying slows down, and the price drops to their stop loss limit, they sell.

I shorted this stock based on the fundamentals. The price movement of the last two years show that this company is on the decline. And the recent 10-Q filing confirmed this: "Revenue for the three months ended March 31, 1997 was $2.0 million, representing a decrease of $468,000 or 19% in comparison to $2.5 million for the comparable 1996 quarter." Plus the EPS for next year will still be negative.

Now, the BW article does not change a thing about the company but the temporary perception of blind followers. Once they cut loss, the stock price is sure to fall.

BTW, I think there are more speculators than investors out there. And this is one of my speculative play, too. Even though I am on the short side.
