You are really making a fool of yourself now dear...I mean really, taking a little trading course for a few days from an online guru looking to make money from teaching instead of trading hardly qualifies you to run around SI giving "expert" opinions on things you know nothing about. Lots of people on this thread are shorting, in Canada, without "calling it in", without any unusual margin requirement. Then again, many here would benefit from using a full service professional to help them maintain discipline and avoid 50% haircuts. Why would anyone here be using an online broker if they had to call it in? LOL LOL LOL Why don't you run along and research the brokerage industry in Canada, features available, margin requirements, and TSE short sale rules...write up a long dissertation,and post it to the thread? Hey bigbuk, you must be on the phone constantly the way you short "calling in" all those orders.
