ONEPATH NETWORKS PROPOSES ETHERNET PON PROTOCOL

OnePath Networks, a start-up based in Princeton, New Jersey with R&D in Jerusalem, Israel, introduced an Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) protocol to the "Ethernet in the First Mile" Study Group, which was formed by the IEEE in November 2000.

OnePath said its protocol was designed to enable IP Ethernet PON-based FTTX equipment.
