So I was right in Feb or March 1999 to say that Amazon is cash-flow positive, in spite off all the BS I got from HJ and others?

Bill,

The numbers are the numbers so yes it is an accurate statement when in Feb or March 1999 to state Amazon was cash flow positive based on the recent released numbers.

The Capex explosion didn't occur until 1999, BTW.

Correct. Capex explosion was in 1999 and in addition to the buildout, the expense of maintaining/operating the DCs made cash flow from operations negative from thereon.

I would/did question the advisability of that capex explosion and do today. Amazon cannot support all those DCs.
