Hi Karen I am not an expert on Buddha. I was just referencing Mars claim that "all" the major Christian doctrines are a direct rip off from Buddhism. As I said, I don't consider them to be in the same league at all. The different reactions are still manifest for the basic reason I cited, as was evidenced by Cos's response. Has anyone thought to ask Mars for a documentary source for his story. I wonder if I had posted a similar story re Jesus how long it would be before I was asked to prove it? BTW I thought your musings about gay republicans was as close an analogy to the "Who is a Christian" question as I have heard, and funny To. :) Greg
