My guess is it is primarily index related given TVX's jettison from Toronto's senior gold index, combined with more gold malaise (to 258) and a good old fashion panic-like environment. Obviously when the new management takes over the reins they need to educate folks some about the fiduciary role they have to the different investor classes: noteholders and stockholders. This is such a classic high return stub play, that I'm surprised we haven't seen a little stronger bids though. I have never been in an arena where people hear footsteps as much as they do in gold, and I've been at this investing business actively for twenty five years. Everybody is convinced that they will be screwed at a drop of a hat, and of course in recent years they have.
