Just heard Joe Kernan on CNBC talking about how there are rumors of LOTS of earnings warnings that will be coming out next week - just waiting for end of month window dressing to be over. He must be checking JEFF's posts to get his info! LOL Also talking about how Nortel & others have already warned, waiting for TLAB,CIEN, etc. I'm just learning to play with options (made a few $ off HGSI - playing 40-50 range) but am thinking seriously about buying some CIEN puts and wait for fire-sale soon. Also noticed that QCOM seems pretty resilient to all these happenings (similar to your comment about MSFT). Will be curious to see if it get legs knocked out under it in the next few weeks or not. Finally, heard some other guy on CNBC talking about how the DOW needs to drop to 8100 (ouch!) before we can start any real recovery. The next few weeks will definitely be 'interesting'. Capital preservation is definitely the key right now! Thanks again to all for helpful posts - now gotta get back to work!
