I am not an expert on Buddha....

did you read the story of the Buddha's disciple
"walking on the water" , I just posted here?

Message 15583165

...and if so , would you like to comment on how exactly
similar it is to the story in the Gospels ?

I am not saying Christianity is ripped off
from Buddhism , Gregg . But there are many direct
similarities, references , and common themes.

I am very vigilant of ignorant fundamentalism
that condemns other belief systems as
"being the work of satan"

and promotes so much uneccesary fears, suspicions,
and strife in a world that all men share ,
hopefully someday with dignity and
enlightenment ...without the condemnation
behind their closed doors.

I can show you link after link on the internet of such Christian fundamentalism , making such claims ...that Hindus and Buddhists are devil
worshippers and "cults", when they
completely share almost every
spiritual refinement and goal
as does Christianity.

Did Christianity become infused with the teachings
of Buddha ? Well it was the fastest spreading teachings in the world then , and in India there was the story of the Messiah called "Krishna" 1500 years before. It is chronicled in one of the world's most well known Holy writings, embraced by many
of the geniouses
of our time.

You don't usually hear of Buddhists or Hindu's calling Christians "devil" worshippers.

the similarities of Buddha , Krishna , and "The Christ"
can be surveyed here in a post supplied from
Solon earlier:

It becomes harder and harder to deny the tie~in.
Time for Christians to acknowledge the
truth perhaps and step down off the
"high-horse"?
