PS Qualcomm wins regardless but the US customer may need to rely on Nextel for a nationwide 1xEV-DV network, not a renamed Vodafone wireless after Verizon Wireless is absorbed into Voadafone.

Doesn't Sprint count?

Your argument for VOD taking over Verizon (or at least trying to) makes sense. I would suspect if VOD makes a move, it will push Bell South to move to take over Sprint faster.
