mr mark, I have used naviscope with dialup for a few months. It pre-fetches the next or next 10 posts [you can choose the word it keys on], that's all. Besides that you can set it to supress most ads. I don't really care much about that because the space is still there. But it helps in case of annoying blinking ads. Don't remember seeing any.
It is not intrusive at all.
