I thought the comparison to the 1929-33 period would be of interest to those who are overlaying charts and making dire predictions: Twenty-six declines of 10% or more. <Another Great Depression> I doubt it: Much stricter margin requirements, more highly capitalized banking system, and stronger world economy. What percentage chance would you put on another Great Depression? I would put it at 1/4 to 1/2 percent chance, 1 in 200.
