Thanx Paul. I thought it was pretty compelling. The 19 year low in the Leading Employment Indicator is also sounding a generational alarm. Take a look back at the 1990 period:

The ECRI's last call for a recession was in Feb. 1990. The trailing data didn't confirm one until July, and the market didn't bottom until October of 1990. When comparing, we should remember that recession was a rather mild one, and didn't come on the back of a huge tech bubble.

The timing of the 1990 recession would suggest that this bear market may have another 6-8 months to run. That would shoot my late April bottom all to hell. <g>
