You are rationalizing the behavior of a bunch of manic depressive nutbags. If you are talking about equips as as a "sector" maybe you need to look at klic and some others and tell me how well they have held up. Amat and nvls may not be at new lows, but they are off 67% from their highs, just like the nasdaq. Look at this chart: maybe things aren't quite like you feel. siliconinvestor.com
