I can't believe the mindset
that one cannot take an action in regard to his or her health because it
is not covered.

It's not only mind set. Sometimes it's the law. Since I've been enjoying my new relationship with my doctor so much, I started thinking ahead. Right now I'm free to get treatment from any doctor as long as I'm willing to pay for it. Once I hit 62, I will only be able to get that treatment from doctors who don't accept any Medicare patients. I find that prospect totally outrageous. Here's a snip from Sen. Kyl's web site.

<<He has fought hard for seniors' rights to health-care
choice and privacy, sponsoring legislation that would
allow seniors the freedom to choose treatments or
doctors outside of Medicare -- if that's their choice.
Government policies currently prevent seniors from
seeking treatment outside of Medicare -- even if they
want to use their own money to do so.
