I guess I'm not following your arguments.

"The anti-2ers don't want to eliminate guns from society, just the guns in the hands of citizens"

First, I don't know many 'anti-2ers' - that is, anti Militia. There may be some, but most who are in favor of some form of gun control specifically wish to remove the easy access to hand guns by our youth and criminal element. Many would argue that a limit or ban on hand guns would have the opposite effect. However, most reasonable people would like to see fewer guns available to criminals, if that were practical.

"The anti-1ers don't want to eliminate money from politics, just the money given by private citizens."

I assume you are labeling supporters of the McCain-Feingold as 'anti-1ers'. How in your mind, specifically, does this bill do that? I believe its intent is to empower private citizens by limiting the huge advertising clout of the unions and corporations. If you wish to take out you own pro-candidate ad, and/or join with some other buddies to do so, it does not appear to restrict you. What it DOES appear to do is to restrict the giant corporations and unions from flooding the airwaves with last minute ads, many which seem to attempt to confuse, muddy, and besmirch.

"If you remove from citizens the right to use their own money to affect the outcome of elections, politician will still be free to use tax $ to effect the outcome of elections by buying votes with pork."

As I pointed out, I don't see how the rights of private citizens to use their money is affected, but rather the opposite; it is protected. Politicians who then use illegal money for such advertisements will not only be in violation of the law, they will be rather easy to catch. "Hey, look at me, I just robbed a store, and I'm going to advertise the fact on TV!"

"If McCain wins, overnight we will cease living in the United States of America and begin a new life as Europeans."

My local newspaper says he has virtually already won, and that Monday will be a formality (we'll see). Where do I turn in my bucks for euros?

My feeling about this is sort of like when they started instant replay on TV. The intent sounds good, but people are worried about the execution. It may take a round or too to work out the kinks, or we may have to abandon the effort. I'm interested in seeing the impact before I dig my heels in one way or another.
