I don't know much about strategies of increasing number of shares one owns. I think this is the wrong goal to have. My strategy is to generate cash every month. This month I sold 800 AMD April $30 call contracts for an average $2.20 a share and 400 AMD April $30 and $27.50 put contracts for an average $2.00 a share. This is money in the pocket here and now not some paper that may go up or down. If I get called I will write more puts next month. If I get assigned I will write more calls

I assume you mean CCs. That's a handsome portfolio you have there. While I write quite a few contracts myself each month my strategy is very much opposite yours. I am aquiring at this time and have no interest in cash. Why the emphasis on cash at a time like this? Buy low you know....

If your AMD shares are giving you the margin to write those puts you could be in deep dodo should AMD tank. Margin balance goes down while your requirements go up. Not good.

Why are you playing around with such small INTC short positions when you're short 400 AMD put contracts?
