Joe, As far as the "rich" world is concerned, the environmental situation inside the rich countries has been improving for 2, maybe even 3 decades, IMO. I would actually like to examine some data, and deal with hard facts, rather than emotions, which is the norm on this thread. We have cleaned up many visible problems in the last three decades. Heavy metal pollution of the oceans and CO2 are invisible. Overfishing and ozone depletion are invisible. If we don't choke on it immediately, we don't do anything about it. We have cured the flu, and allowed cancer to spread. Scumbria
