Jorj for Prez! I'll tell ya guy - People worked their bunz off during the 90's and took stock in their companies which helped the economy. Then, WITH NO REGARD OF RIGHT AND WRONG, our tax system has blown them right out of the water and into the poor house. When the market tanked (no fault of the tax system) it left hard working Joes and SI BOBS holding the tax bag with phantom gains(big fault in our tax system). Clearly the IRS knows these gains weren't earned and yet no special provision exists to let them off the hook (and we wonder why people go off the deep end and pull a Mc Veigh?). Cap gains are the result of people, wealthy and poor alike, doing the right thing with THEIR MONEY. There should be no tax on the results. Would it be better if everyone just blew their money on beer MR. IRS?
