John,

I have no problem with your viewpoint. If you are a buyer after the Dow and Nasdaq fall another 30% or so, you and I share fairly similar opinions.

What I'm tired of hearing are the posts that insist that the world is ending, gold is the only place to hide, the Dow is going to 1000, massive inflation is unavoidable, and so on and so on.

Reading various threads like the MDD board and the Clown Free Zone you will come across a high number of people predicting the next great depression. They are starting to spread to the individual stock boards like SUNW with Mr. Chic here. My opinion is that these people need to get a grip. They will be the ones left behind by the next bull market whether it starts now or in a year or two. They'll be shorting it all the way up, just like they were the last 10 years.

My point is that it's time that some discussion focuses on whether or not a total financial collapse is in the works. I'm perfectly happy with what's happened up to this point, but I will not be happy if the entire world goes to heck in a handbasket. You know my opinion and you know Chic's. Does anyone else have an opinion?

IMO,
Dave
