This is one are in which we disagree. Once the excesses are cleaned out meaning selling product below cost, the remaining retailers will only sell so low. A retailer has to have a certain margin. The net will not have a lot of effect on that. It will have a great deal of effect on the transfer of information between retailer and consumer helping the retailer serve the consumer better. Retailing has never had real high margins.

no matter what amzn did, they would make small marginal profits. period. the business model FIUNDAMENTALLY sucks and there is nothing anybody can do about it.



Small marginal profits are always the case for a retailer. It is not an issue of the model as much as of the industry.

Keep in mind that if a business is never going to be profitable, no one would enter it. Well Bezos excepted LOL.
