China: First overseas filling station completed in Sudan
China Chemical Report, March 29

On 1 Mar 2001 the first foreign filling station built by China was completed at Al Khurtum, the capital of Sudan.

This marks the beginning of a new venture in overseas markets by China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC).

This move by NCPC is the first stage of oil product sale in international markets.

Once the required experience is obtained.

CNPC will build filling stations of different filling stations of different sizes and will create a marketing network for oil products.

At the same time CNPC plans to have a large-scale project in Sudan to integrate oil exploration, oilfield development, and oil product marketing on international markets.
