You are missing the point. The telecom industry was engaged in hypergrowth mode over the past 3 years. The vendors were selling equipment on credit to any telecom company with a PO box and a telephone. These companies were being taken public as fast as the lawyers and investment bankers could crank out the docs. The large telecoms were borrowing like crazy to fund expansion like there was no tomorrow. These chickens are now coming home to roost in the form of failing CLECS. uncollectable receivables and overleveraged carriers. This is why the stocks have dropped like a rock in the sector. I don't think we can brush off this problem by making references like since this is not 31-33, we don't have a problem. We do have a problem. Thats why the telecom sector is in the toilet. I am looking for the answers. The key will be to understand the problem, know when the solution has been found and get back in before everyone else figures it out. Not argue about how the problem doesnt exist while your money is at great risk.
