I agree completely.

Banning should be a last resort.

And it should require an significant majority vote at least 60/40 or 2/3 majority.

And i agree with you that a moderated thread is a turn off to some people who would otherwise post here.

We definately have an imperfect system here.

However the old un-moderated thread was much worse.
