Ive heard that a lot of the their accts and notes receivables are not "bankable". The explosion in vendor financing to the risky CLEC's over the past 3 years mean write off IMO. Once these writeoffs have cleared the books LU/MOT/ERICY/NT etc. can move forward. How long is the question. The sooner the better of course. Look at Japan for an example of delaying judgement day.
I am not advocating that the industry will totally meltdown. Don't get me wrong. I just think that their is a credit crunch in the telecom world right now and hard objective analysis is needed on how this could affect QCOM.
