JDN - What is this "Malaise" that must end?

That folks thought they were instantly wealthy, now aren't. That piles of shimmering promises proved to be the lies of false prophets.

It is the malaise that comes from clinging like limpets to hopelessly unreasonable expectations.

Here's the shock that cures such malaise.

Too bad, so sad, it wasn't true. It shouldn't have been true, so now that it isn't true there is no reason to hope that someday it will be true again.

Even clearer.

It was a big lie. You were the idiot that fell for it. You were duped. You got caught up in the euphoria. A tale as old as time. You played the fool.

You and millions of others who form 95% of the population have just participated in a massive wealth transfer function, in a direction less favorable to you than to others.

Now, instead of wallowing in self pity and indulging in finger pointing at everyone but yourself, get up off the freakin' ground and put yourself together. As long as you and your ilk are whining and schucking and jiving and avoiding responsibility, the malaise will feed on itself.

You don't need to eviscerate some scapegoat. You don't need to blame policies you barely even comprehend as the cause of your problem. You don't need to come up with some new economic policy whose absence would somehow explain why the lie you believed isn't true... you need to take responsibility and set proper expectations.

We all do.

Then the malaise of misplaced expectations ends.

There. That feels better.

John.
