Hi Keith, No need to worry about being forced to be a "party" to any litigation...you would only be a party if you were one of the individuals who followed the advice given and incurred losses directly attributable to the guru's recommendations, if you want to suck up your losses yourself, then there is no issue of you being involved as a plaintiff... I imagine they only want your testimony as a witness which i suppose they could compel through the normal procedure of subpoenas but would prefer you to be cooperative.. Your posts over the past year or so are a veritable gold mine of evidence for the plaintiffs' counsel..they are filled with examples of solicitation and acceptance of investment advice, down to even the entry and exit points for stocks and options... The best part is that you were one of the guru's friends who interpreted his posts as being actual recommendations to buy and sell..it just makes the case that much easier to prove that these weren't just casual musings but real advice, that was acted upon by individuals such as yourself and relied upon to their detriment...all those times you asked the guru about rambus and whether to buy more or to hold on longer, that is just the fodder needed to fuel the litigation...your evidence (that last post with your tirade was the icing on the cake)plus another dozen or so similarly situated persons should be enough to get started...what the ultimate outcome will be, well, I will leave that to the courts to decide...
