Little Joe, someone may be able to find 20. Although I've never seen anyone do it. But I guarantee you they will not find 19,200 scientist in America which support the Kyoto protocols based on the science of climatology.

I couldn't disagree with you more in regard to your characterization that these scientists are pimps for signing the petition. I can't think of another major issue, Big Media has been so one-sided in presenting the information about then Global Warming.

The fact that 19,200 of our nations scientists (many with specific knowledge in the area of climatology) are willing to go on the record and make such a statement. Should have made page one news in the NY Times many months ago. I would consider it a great moral outrage if our nation went down a radical path, such as the Kyoto Protocol mandates, if our leading scientists believed this way, and never said anything publicly.

Further, I don't see the comparison of this issue and "gay genes" as being valid. Cultural issues are one thing to discuss and debate, but in this case, we're talking about a hard science. Gay genes may or may not sway our cultural attitudes one way or another. But knowledge about the effects of CO2 on the earth's climate certainly would.
