I don't believe that's true. I've had quite a few debates here on SI with some pretty intelligent web surfers, and none have been able to present a list beyond 3 or 4 people cited in those Newsweek type articles. And I'm talking about some long-drawn out heated debates. One of the scientists which magazines like to quote, is a guy who wrote a book 20 years ago predicting global freezing.

I kid you not.

Now, there was supposedly 200 people who signed the protocols which were knowledgeable about the worlds climate. But after researching them, I found out most were politicians, not scientists. Although a few had won Nobel Prizes. That's another line you will sometimes see in the press..."50 Nobel Prize winners support the Kyoto Protocols, and fear Global Warmings effect".

The issue of Global Warming has been so biasely presented by the mainstream press, many intelligent people just accept it as a fact these days.

This should be another good test though. E is a smart lady who knows how to use the web to get information. And I've challenged her to come up with a list of supporters in a previous post. If she can find something, you can bet she'll present it.

We'll give it a few days and see. I'd love to see one.

Michael
