Thanks for linking the informative article about Vodafone. I suppose the salient points are that (1) Gent is a fearsome competitor who moves swiftly and (2) Vodafone, unlike its rivals, is not burdened by an excessive debt load so that it can probably still acquire more operators if it desires to do so. Fortunately for Verizon, Vodafone's share price has been cut in half since the time that it made its initial acquisitive runs. It also needs time to integrate all its purchases.

We'll see. The Vodafone/Verizon saga is far from over, in my opinion.
