you may have seen these sad articles about folks here cashing in their options in 2000 to buy a 1500 sq ft house for a million or whatever (believe me, they do cost that much or more in some neighborhoods here, just as i'm sure they do in diamond head). only to be hit with six figure tax bills they can't begin to pay for with what the stock is now worth. the article offers tips on strategies: who to pay first (CA over IRS), etc. this is a nightmare.
