FWIW, System thoughts:

I think you will find that Win2000 is better at understanding your system resources and is easy to add new components ("plug & play" (I dislike that term -it's often plug and pray)). Also, you might think about a flatpanel LCD for your monitor. Yes, they are more (sometimes a lot more)money but can offer other advantages. I recently purchased a SGI 17" that I run from my Dell laptop. The monitor weighs only 17 LBs and I can transport it anywhere. The display is 1600x1024 and provides a beautiful, crisp display without the clutter of a CRT.

If I was to consider a new system I would build my own box with AMD processor, 1 GB ram and the SGI.

Antivirus software should be included on any system, you just want to make sure you do manual updates so it doesn't kickoff during the trading day to perform a scan.

Cheers,
Jim
