CO2 isn't a pollutant its the third of fourth biggest part of our atmosphere. So the statement about "the world's largest polluter" isn't directly relevant. The reason to oppose the Kyoto treaty isn't to make a few extra dollars for big corporations but to save trillions of dollars in costs. Bush isn't even saying "don't do anything about global warming", he's just not agreeing with the particular plans of this treaty.

Tim,

The statement is correct....we are the largest polluter in the world.
